Physical Science

In this course we will dive into the fascinating subjects of chemistry and physics... chemics or physistry if you will.  We will study matter and energy, the changes it undergoes, and their interactions.  You will improve your problem solving and communication skills and you will have the opportunity to perform hands-on experiments and take part in project based learning.

I will use this website to provide information and resources to guide your through the course.  The resources page contains reference materials and handouts that you will find useful.  Below I will post class notes and some class handouts.  However, assignments and due dates will be written on the white board in our classroom.  Please access this website as you need, however to do your best remember to participate in class, take good notes and complete all assignments on time, read your book and practice, practice, practice!!!

Class supplies:  You will need a 3-ring binder (at least 1.5"), filler paper, scientific or graphing calculator, pens, pencils, and highlighters.  Bring these supplies to class everyday.

Textbook:  We will be using two textbooks this year.  We will have a class set of each so you may leave your assigned textbook at home for homework and studying. As we start a new topic you will be asked to 1) Read the assigned sections of each chapter.  2) As you read, work on the assignment.  This assignment is provided in class and is also posted below.  All due dates are posted in our classroom on the white board.  Make sure to show all work and highlight your final answer.  If work is not clearly shown, you will receive no credit.
