Mrs. Tamekia Grier-DuPiche, Assistant Principal

Tamekia Grier-DuPiche proudly hails from Paterson, NJ.  She attended Paterson Catholic High School and continued her education at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ. She holds a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership from Caldwell College and a BS in Environmental & Biological Sciences from Rutgers University. She has served students in the educational field for the past 14 years.
Mrs. Grier-DuPiche has worked in the South Plainfield District for over five years. Prior to this position, Mrs. DuPiche worked in the Paterson Public School District as a High School Vice-Principal at John F. Kennedy High School and a Science teacher at Martin Luther King, Jr. School (PS #30).  She has also worked as a Math and Science teacher in the Clifton Public School District and in Plainfield as a Science and a Technology Support Coach. In addition, she was chosen as a candidate to serve as an educator at the Oprah Winfrey's School for Girls in South Africa.

Ms. Grier-DuPiche's focus is to be supportive and work as part of a team with SPMS principal, Mr. Roger Vroom, to make a positive impact on the students, and continue challenging every student to academically excel and take advantage of the extracurricular opportunities at the Middle School.
Ms. Grier-DuPiche will continue to place emphasis on the importance of students being life-long learners and becoming the best version of themselves in order to ensure they are academically, globally and socially prepared for high school and their future educational endeavors. Ms. Grier-DuPiche will make decisions that are student-centered, staff supportive, and fundamentally structured for the betterment of SPMS, as a whole, so that all students will reach their full potential and receive a wholesome and quality education.
